HPTO Scholarship

The spirit of the HPTO is one of volunteerism.  Therefore, the organization seeks to recognize and reward students who demonstrate the spirit of volunteerism during their high school years.  Scholarships are granted to students who demonstrate service to the Hopkinton High School community, to the town of Hopkinton, as well as to the national and/or global community.  Each scholarship amount is up to $1000 and will be awarded to qualified seniors each year pending completion of their first semester of post-high school study.

Requirements: 

• One-page essay demonstrating why you volunteer and how your volunteer activities benefited Hopkinton High School and/or your community

• Letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor

• Letter of recommendation from an adult involved in your volunteer activities

• Resume detailing your community service activities, including time commitment of each, and highlighting any service with the HPTO

Applications will be judged by our scholarship committee based on the quality of the essay in addition to the above requirements.
